Basic Trichoscopy

Trichoscopy is a valuable, noninvasive technique for evaluating patients with hair disorders. Trichoscopy is simple, quick, cost-effective, reduces the need for biopsy, and has transformed our practice in terms of diagnosing and monitoring hair and scalp diseases. An overview of the trichoscopy features of the commonest non-scarring and scarring types of alopecia will be presented.
