Onychoscopy of pigmented nail lesions
The real role of onychoscopy is to distinguish pigmented lesions due to melanin versus non melanin. Thank to onychoscopy it is possible to diagnosis pigmeted lesions due to hematoma, pigmted onychomycosis and pseudomonas colonization. In case of real melanonychia onychoscopy os helpful to have an high magnification of the lesons but not to distinguish which is benign versus malignant
