Mr. Alemayehu is a public health expert with extensive experience in various positions within
academic institutions and organizations under the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. He has
developed a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the field.
Currently, he is a PhD student in infectious diseases and serves as an associate researcher at the
Collaborative Research and Training Center for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) of Arba
Minch University. His primary focus is conducting research on NTDs, with a particular emphasis
on skin NTDs.
His passion for this field arises from the significant impact these diseases have on individuals,
especially those in low-resource settings. He is dedicated to contributing to the development of
effective interventions and policies that improve public health outcomes and alleviate the burden
of NTDs in Ethiopia and beyond.
