Dr. Borna Nyaoke is a medical doctor by profession having graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and
Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from The University of Nairobi, Kenya. She has also completed the
Global Clinical Scholars Research Training (GCSRT) Program at the Harvard Medical School, U.S.A and has
a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Liverpool, U.K. She also has certification in HIV,
clinical research in children and infectious diseases.
Dr. Borna has expansive experience in clinical work from public to private sector, having worked at
Kakamega PGH, Kenyatta National Hospital and the Nairobi Hospital. Her work in research and
development has encompassed vaccine development for HIV and Ebola and drug development in
neonatal sepsis, multi-drug resistant gonorrhea, COVID-19 and Mycetoma across multiple African
countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Sudan and South Africa
