Bio

Christian Stierle is a licensed psychological psychotherapist and supervisor for cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). He is currently Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. At the same time, he works as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. Previously, he worked for many years at the Schön Klinik Bad Bramstedt, where he was head psychologist for the area of obsessive-compulsive disorders and related disorders as well as for the trauma disorder unit. He is Vice-Chairman of the Psychosomatic Dermatology Working Group Germany and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Society of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, and conducts research on the promotion of compassion and the regulation of disgust and shame in obsessive-compulsive disorders and dermatological disorders. Christian Stierle originally studied Psychology in Marburg and completed his psychotherapeutic training in Braunschweig and Göttingen/Germany.

He was trained in Compassion Focused Therapy with Paul Gilbert and Chris Irons and regularly gives workshops on Compassion Focused Therapy.
