Dr. Enas Attia is a Professor of Dermatology and Venereology in Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams
University, Cairo, Egypt. Professor Enas Attia is a senior consultant of Dermatology and Chairperson
of Research Ethics Committee, Ain Al Khaleej Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Attia is also member in
oral assessment panel for licensing professionals in Dermatology, Dubai Health Authority, UAE.
Dr. Attia has more than 20 years’ experience in the field. Her experience includes working in Egypt,
Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and United Arabs of Emirates. Professor Attia is a member of International
Society of Dermatology, International Dermoscopy Society, Egyptian Society of Dermatology, Qatar
Council of Healthcare Practitioners, Saudi Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and
Emirates Dermatology Society.
Professor Enas Attia is an eminent researcher and authored and co-authored numerous scientific
publications in reputed international journals and contributed to well-known reference books in the
field. Professor Enas has won the Best Investigative Research Award from The International
Conference of Dermatology and Cosmetology; Sharma Derma in 2012, 2014, and 2015. Moreover,
she won Dr. Abdel Wahab El Fawzan Award in Dermatology in 2014. Dr. Abdel Wahab El Fawzan is
the former Kuwait’s Health Minister and is currently the President of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
League of Dermatologists. In addition, Professor Enas was a Co-Principal Investigator in one of the
“National Priority Research Projects” funded by Qatar Foundation from 2013 to 2018.
Professor Attia has been serving as a reviewer for many regional and international medical journals,
including British Medical Journal, Journal of Experimental Dermatology, Journal of European
Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, European Journal of Dermatology, European Journal of
Pediatrics, Journal of Wound Repair and Regeneration, Journal of Clinical and Experimental
Dermatology, International Wound Journal, International Journal of Dermatology, and Journal of
Egyptian Women's Dermatologic Society.
Professor Attia is participating in numerous educational undertakings dedicated to patients and
public, aiming to increasing social awareness of skin health and diseases. Beside clinical practice,
research, and reviewing, Professor Attia is contributing to academic lecturing and previously
participated in regional and international conferences including Pan-Arab Forum of Dermatology and
Leprosy (PADL), European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress, World Congress of
Dermatology, Global Diabetes Summit, Sharm Derma and Dubai Derma.
