Professor Olivier Chosidow, former head of the Dermatology Department of Henri-Mondor Hospital has been involved in infectious dermatology since the beginning of his career. He is currently the president of GrIDIST (thematic group “Dermatological Infectiology-STI” of the SFD), founding member of the IACS (International Alliance for the Control of Scabies) and external advisor to the WHO working group of the ILDS. Scabies is one of his areas of expertise with currently 2 randomized clinical trials funded by the French PHRC in progress, for which he provides scientific advice. He has published more than 570 indexed articles including the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Lancet Infectious Diseases, BMJ, and all major dermatology journals, and participates in numerous book articles (Harrison’s, Rook’s, Bolognia…). He is Deputy editor of PLoS NTD, has co-organized teaching in infectious and tropical dermatology for more than 20 years, and has coordinated a European course. He delivered nearly 600 national and international conferences in Europe, North and South America, Maghreb, Australia, Asia.
